Wedding Bells: Bamboo Organ Church (Booked!)

Can I just say that planning a wedding is difficult AND expensive! Between mommy duties and work, I barely have free time to organize things. Since we started working on this late, we didn't have the luxury to have as many options as we like. The husband to be and I was only able to check 2 venues for the church. One is in Malate Church and Bamboo Organ Church (St. Joseph Parish) in Las Pinas, as suggested by my mom. After a few discussions, we went with Bamboo Organ Church even if it's a bit more expensive than Malate Church. And since we're staying in Paranaque, we opted for the one that's near our place.

For those who want to know, we paid P5,000 reservation fee for the church. The church charges P15,000 if you want to have your wedding ceremony there. However, in the P5,000 reservation fee, only P3,000 is deductible in the total cost. So overall, it will cost you P17,000 if you want to get married at Bamboo Organ Church. Also, there are 3 slots available per day (except Sundays) and the only available slot for our date is at 8:30 in the morning. At first I was hesitant since I thought it's too early but whatever, we booked it anyway. Haha!

The church is pretty okay for me. It's a small church and we plan to have a limited number of guests only so I think it's okay. It gives you a Spanish feel because of how it's built and also it's surroundings, which is good for the photos. There's even a fire station in front of it which is built like those houses from Jose Rizal's time. I wasn't able to take much photos, though.

There are, however, rules given by the administration. They don't allow tube and backless dresses and the door stays open all throughout the ceremony. They also don't allow throwing of rice inside the church. Since the bamboo organ and a singer is included in their package, they will give you a list of songs to be played in every part of the ceremony. If you want a song and it is not included in the list, they can play it but you have to provide them with the piece beforehand so they can practice it.

Well, this is only just the start. Hopefully, everything will go on smoothly. Wish us luck!
