Here are the ingredients:
- 1 pack of Masoya Tofu (Available in any SM grocery stores)
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 slice of ginger, cut into strips
For the sauce:
- 3 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp cooking oil (I used sunflower oil)
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp cornstarch, dissolved in water
Slice the tofu in rectangles and fry it. I like my tofu extra crunchy so I let it sit in the pan for a longer time. The picture below is already the second batch of tofu on the pan.
Set aside the fried tofu and place it in a plate lined with kitchen towel to drain.
Remove the oil from the pan leaving around 1 tsp of oil. Put in the garlic and ginger and stir fry. After a minute, add the drained tofu and continue to stir fry. Reduce the heat and put in the sauce. You can prepare the sauce beforehand and just mix all the sauce ingredients together. Make sure to mix it all in and all tofu pieces are covered with the prepared sauce.
It's that easy to make and perfect to eat with steamed rice. Enjoy!
